After a pretty balanced first half (49-48), UCAM Murcia had an offensive boost after halftime against Darussafaka to get the 96-87 home win.
Following Jordan Davis’ departure for joining Hamburg, Thaddus McFadden stepped up for UCAM Murcia with 26 points, shooting 1/1 from two, 6/10 from beyond the arc, and 6/6 at the line.
The former Anadolu Efes player and back-to-back EuroLeague champion James Anderson went really close to a triple-double with 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.
On the losing side, Gabriel Olaseni had 19 points and 6 rebounds, shooting 7/12 from the field and being perfect at the charity stripe (5/5).
Matt Mooney had 12 points with 4/6 from the field off the bench, while Markel Starks scored 11 points with 6 assists. Dogus Özdemiroglu added the same amount of points.
Despite having more turnovers (19 vs 11) and fewer steals (11 vs 4) than Darussafaka, UCAM Murcia managed to win the battle under the basket, capturing more rebounds (37 vs 31) and getting the victory.
With this win, UCAM Murcia gets just behind Lenovo Tenerife in Group L with a 2-1 record, while Darussafaka stays at the bottom with a 0-3 record.
