In search of a player to compensate for the long-term absence of JB Maille, the SIG Strasbourg formalizes today the signing of the American leader Tim Frazier (32 years old – 1m85).
Coming from AEK Athens with whom he was under contract until last weekend, the experienced Tim Frazier has signed up with SIG Strasbourg until the end of the current season. Trained at Penn State University, he completed a full course there between 2009 and 2014. A Star player of this university, he is still today the best passer in history (641 assists in 135 matches).
He was not selected for the 2014 draft and it was in the G-League that he started the 2014/15 season with the Maine Red Claws. Author of a good first year during which he stood out, he was able to sign two 10-day contracts with the Philadelphia 76ers and thus set foot in the NBA. Finally, after 41 games in the G-League and some resounding cards, he signed a multi-year contract in March 2015 with the Portland Trail Blazers with whom he finished the season. During the next seven seasons, he played for seven other NBA franchises, participating in 304 NBA games during his career for an average playing time of 17.6 minutes.
Arrived in Europe for the first time last summer, he played for AEK Athens with whom he averaged 11.3 points and 5 assists in the league and 6.3 points and 5.2 assists in BCL.
