Bad news for Surne Bilbao Basket, as Jaume Ponsarnau’s team won’t have Jeff Withey from six to eight weeks.
The former New Orleans Pelicans, Utah Jazz, and Dallas Mavericks player has suffered a sprain of the left ankle external lateral ligament, other than the fracture of the fifth metatarsal base.
The 32-year-old center is averaging 8.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 60.4% from two and 81.8% at the charity stripe, helping Bilbao arrive in the Group L of the Round of 16.
