In a game full of back-and-forth emotions, BAXI Manresa managed to beat Bahcesehir 77-76 on the road and keep rolling in the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League Round of 16.
Jerrick Harding was clutch at the charity stripe (9/9) and was the highest-scorer for last season’s BCL runner-up with 22 points. Most importantly, he banked in the three-point winning-game shot with 00:06 seconds left.
After scoring 15+ points in each of his first three games in the BCL, Devin Robinson had 12 with 4 rebounds. Starting on the bench, team captain Jaumpi Vaulet added 10 points and 6 rebounds.
Jerry Boutsiele had an amazing losing effort for the home team, delivering his 5th double-double of the season with 23 points and 12 rebounds, as well as a season-high EFF of 38.
Coming off the bench, Yigit Arslan scored 17 points and 5 rebounds with 5/6 from downtown, while Jamar Smith had 10 points but missed the opportunity to give his team the victory with 00:01 seconds left from beyond the arc.
Both teams performed high-percentage shots from the free throw line (Bahcesehir 100%, BAXI 90.48%), but BAXI Manresa prevailed both in fast-break points (14 vs 2) and steals (8 vs 1).
Following this loss, the Turkish team stays at the bottom of Group J with a 0-4 record, while the Catalan side remains behind Bonn with a 3-1 record. In Gameday 5, the former will face Rytas Vilnius, while the latter will travel to Germany.
