Following AEK’s win against Galatasaray, both the yellow-and-black team and Unicaja Malaga can call themselves “qualified for the Quarter-Finals”. The Spanish team beat Limoges CSP 99-88 to secure its spot.
Former Brescia player Tyler Kalinoski was on fire, ending the winning game with 18 points and 3/6 from beyond the arc, while Tyson Carter followed him with 15 points and 5 assists.
Kendrick Perry struggled from the field (4/12) but still had 11 points and 8 assists. The 36-year-old veteran Will Thomas had 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists for a 22-efficiency.
Coming back after injury, Desi Rodriguez stood up for Limoges CSP with his season-high of 25 points with 6 rebounds and 10/13 inside the paint. Kenneth Kadji, who came off the bench, ended with 14 points and 6 rebounds.
After heavily losing the second quarter 30-20, the 2023 Copa del Rey champs came back and produce a 31-17 run in the third quarter, going all the way until the end on top. Malaga and AEK get to the Basketball Champions League Quarter-Finals, while Galatasaray NEF and Limoges CSP are eliminated.
