Completing Group J of the 2023 Basketball Champions League Round of 16 unbeaten, Telekom Baskets Bonn won another game, beating Bahcesehir 87-76 on the road.

Finn Delany was Telekom Baskets Bonn’s highest-scorer of the game with 18 points. Leon Kratzer, who is the player with the most starts without losing a single one this season, produced a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Bonn’s leader TJ Shorts II, who combined 10+ points and 10+ assists in two of his previous three BCL games after never doing so in his last eight appearances, had a double-double of 13 points and 10 assists. The newest addition Javontae Hawkins, who returned to Germany after starting the season with Limoges, added 10.

The highest-scorer on Bahcesehir’s side was Muhammed Baygül, who ended the game against the best Basketball Champions League team with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Conor Morgan had his best scoring performance with the Turkish team with 18 points while grabbing 5 rebounds. Jerry Boutsiele, who dominated for a large part of the season under the basket, ended the game with 11 points and 4 boards.

The Germans dominated the game from the beginning, shooting way better at the charity stripe (94.12% vs 61.11%). They were also dominant in the paint, scoring 44 points from there while Bahcesehir only had 20.

With its 11th consecutive Basketball Champions League victory, Telekom Baskets Bonn ended Group J, as previously known, in the 1st position, earning the home-court advantage just like Unicaja Malaga and Lenovo Tenerife in the Quarter-Finals. Bahcesehir didn’t win a single game.
