By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

In the last and sixth Week of the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League, the last team got its ticket for the Quarter-Finals, while another team completed the phase without a single defeat and an Israeli side managed to advance with the 1st position in its standings. The draw will take place on March 24 at 10:30 CET, and clubs that were in the same Round of 16 groups cannot be drawn against each other.

Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem earned the home-court advantage by beating SIG Strasbourg in the last game of the Round of 16 in Group I. The second Israeli win arrived at the hands of Hapoel Holon, which managed to break its losing streak after getting the upper hand over JDA Bourgogne Dijon.

In the decisive matchup for the last Quarter-Finals, Rytas Vilnius beat BAXI Manresa but couldn’t advance to the next stage because they won 96-95 and not by 13 or more points. Meantime, Telekom Baskets Bonn had no mercy against Bahcesehir, getting their 11th Basketball Champions League consecutive win and leaving the Turkish team winless in the Round of 16.

In Group K, Unicaja continued to earn essential results. After winning the 2023 Copa del Rey, Ibon Navarro’s team ended in the first position after beating AEK on the road, reaching the home-court advantage in the Quarter-Finals. Limoges, instead, managed to win its first game of the Round of 16, getting the upper hand in OT over Galatasaray, one of the favorite teams before the start of the season.

Finally, in Group L Lenovo Tenerife concluded its Round of 16 by beating Darussafaka Lassa and confirming its first position and therefore the home-court advantage in the following stage. In the umpteenth BCL Spanish derby of the season, UCAM Murcia was dragged by David Jelinek and Nemanja Radovic’s double-double against Surne Bilbao at the Miribilla Arena, which hosted the 2022 Final Four.
