Shortly after losing to Unicaja in the first quarterfinal match of the Basketball Champions League, UCAM Murcia announced the signing of Chris Chiozza.
The US guard, with 90 games of experience in the NBA and a championship ring, signed the contract until the end of the season.
Chiozza won the title in 2022 as a Golden State Warriors player but also wore jerseys of Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, and Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. Murcia is his first club outside the US.
This season he played in the G-League for Long Islands Nets, scoring 12,5 points with 8,8 assists and 5,2 rebounds, and a PIR of 17,5 on average.
The 27-year-old, 180-centimeters tall guard also spent four years at the prestigious University of Florida, averaging 7,4 points and 4,1 assists for the Gators.
He immediately joined the orders of Sito Alonso until the end of the season and will be able to play both in the ACB and the rest of the quarterfinal series of the BCL.
