The offensive leader of SIG Strasbourg has been ruled out for the do-or-die Basketball Champions League Quarter-Finals Game 3

On Tuesday, SIG Strasbourg will face Telekom Baskets Bonn on the road to discovering its fate in the Basketball Champions League. If Luca Banchi’s team got home with a victory, the French side will qualify for the Final Four, but they must do that without Marcus Keene.

As reported by The Latest News from Alsace and later announced by the team, the 27-year-old American guard won’t play against TJ Shorts and Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany following an injury he suffered during the last LNB game against JDA Bourgogne Dijon.

The former Pallacanestro Varese playmaker had 30 points with 4 assists and 10/13 from the field against the other French BCL participant but was forced to leave the court after playing 25 minutes during a counter-attack. He still went on to be named MVP of the Game.

Marcus Keene, who has been averaging 18.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game in the Basketball Champions League, scored 46 points in the two encounters against the German team, and the game-winning shot in Game 1. He will probably miss the LNB clash against AS Monaco scheduled on Thursday as well.
