Basketball and art are woven into the fabric of the community in Malaga, the birthplace of genius Pablo Picasso, so it’s only appropriate for the countdown to the city’s biggest basketball event to start in the museum that celebrates the world-famous artist.

The Draw that will unveil the bracket of the 2023 Basketball Champions League Final Four will take place in the auditorium of Museo Picasso Malaga, in the heart of the old town, on Tuesday, April 25.

The ceremony will commence at 11:00 CET and will be streamed live on the BCL YouTube Channel for viewers worldwide.

The distinguished guests include Malaga City Mayor Francisco de la Torre, Malaga Provincial Council President Francisco Salado, and María de Nova from the Department of Education and Sport of Andalusia’s regional government.

BCL CEO Patrick Comninos and Unicaja Club President Antonio López Nieto, alongside the Mayor and local government representatives, will field questions from accredited local media at a press conference right before the draw.

The draw will determine the bracket of the Final Four, which is set to tip off in Malaga’s Martin Carpena arena on Friday, May 12, with the two Semi-Finals, and will conclude on Sunday, May 14, with the Final and the 3rd-Place Game.

The four contenders for the Basketball Champions League 2022-23 crown are Final Four hosts Unicaja, Telekom Baskets Bonn from Germany, Israel’s Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, and defending BCL champions Lenovo Tenerife.
