Galatasaray NEF has officially announced the signing of Bugrahan Tuncer, the Turkish national team player who recently parted ways with Anadolu Efes. Tuncer has agreed to a 2+1 year deal with the Istanbul club.
Despite leaving Anadolu Efes, Tuncer will continue his career in Istanbul with his new team. Last season in the Basketball Super League (BSL), he averaged 7,2 points, 2,8 assists, and 2,1 rebounds, contributing to Efes’ title victory.
“We warmly welcome Bugrahan Tuncer, our childhood love and a player we have been watching wearing the Anadolu Efes jersey for many years. He has won two EuroLeague championships with his team during this period, represented the national team 111 times in total, including 31 times in the A National Team, and has been a Galatasaray fan since childhood. We wish him a successful career filled with achievements under our yellow and red colors,” stated the club in an official statement.
The 30-year-old guard started his career in 2009 with Besiktas. Later, he played for Aliaga Petkim, Mersin, Eskisehir, Yesilgiresun, and Balikesir before joining Anadolu Efes in 2018. He won two EuroLeague titles with his previous club, became a three-time Turkish champion, and also lifted the Turkish Super Cup and Cup once each.
