More firepower for Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari in the form of Breein Tyree.
Tyree, 25, will log a second consecutive campaign in the Basketball Champions League. Spending the 2022-23 season with Filou Oostende, he tallied 17.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game over nine appearances. The Ole Miss product opted to move his talents to Europe, after the 2021-22 campaign with the Raptors 905 in the G League.
Other newcomers to the Sassari outfit are Vassilis Charalampopoulos, Stephane Gombauld, and Alessandro Cappelletti. Players renewing their contracts, Tommaso Raspino and Filip Kruslin were already in for the team coached by Piero Bucchi as well.
The Italian club will face AEK, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, and King Wilki Morskie Szczecin in Regular Season Group D. At the end of the six-game schedule, the top seeds from all eight groups will advance directly to the Round of 16 with teams finishing second and third instead competing in a Play-In best-of-three series.
