Currently occupied at the 2023 Summer League after being selected with the No.42 overall pick by the Washington Wizards, the 20-year-old Serbian center Tristan Vukcevic has a new option for his future if he doesn’t stay in the NBA next year.
After moving to Partizan Belgrade in the summer of 2022, Dusan’s son could move on loan to Peristeri to be coached by Vassilis Spanoulis in the Basketball Champions League, according to Eurohoops sources. SDNA’s Sotiris Betakis first reported this possibility.
Averaging 1.6 points and 1.2 rebounds in the 2022-23 EuroLeague season with the black-and-white Serbian powerhouse, Real Madrid‘s youth system product could grow in the BCL under Olympiacos‘ legend, even though he’s waiting for an NBA offer.
After announcing the incorporations of Elijah Mitrou-Long, Joe Ragland, Jaylen Hands, Kenny Williams, and Trevor Thompson, Peristeri is set to face Unicaja Malaga, Falco Vulcano Szombathely, and Le Mans Sarthe in Group A of next year’s BCL Regular Season.
Wizards draftee Tristan Vukcevic hopes for a deal with them. If not, then playing for Peristeri on loan by Partizan under his father and coach Vassilis Spanoulis is a very possible scenario. @TheShot71 first reported the Peristeri option, more on @Eurohoopsnet and @EurohoopsGR
