After going silent during the 2023 transfer season so far, Bursaspor announced the signings of four new players over a span of a bit more than an hour Thursday (27/6): Guard Jordan Floyd, forward Michael Young, swingman Anthony Brown and center Johnny Hamilton.

Floyd, 26, spent the 2022-23 season with JL Bourg in France. He averaged 14.0 points and 2.1 assists in 18 EuroCup games in the third season of his professional career.

A European basketball journey, 28-year-old Michael Young joins Bursaspor after playing for Japanese side Kawasaki Brave Thunders. The son of Limoges legend and former EuroLeague champion Michael Young, he previously had stints with such teams as Cholet, Dijon, Gilboa Galil and Ironi Nahariya.

It’s a return to familiar ground for Anthony Brown since he played for Bursaspor in 2021-22. Last season, the 30-year-old former NBAer played in Russia with Unics Kazan, posting 8.9 points and 3.2 rebounds in the VTB League.

Hamilton, 29, comes from a solid run in the Turkish BSL League run in which he notched 10.5 points and 7.1 rebounds with Merkezefendi.

Bursaspor will be competing in the 2023-24 Basketball Champions League as a newcomer in the competition.
