The Basketball Champions League Regular Season Gameday 1 contests involving teams from Israel have been postponed for safety reasons.

The decision directly concerning Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem and Hapoel Holon was shared on Tuesday.

The Jerusalem outfit was set to host Portugal champion Benfica in Pais Arena next Tuesday. The team based in Holon was supposed to visit defending champion Telekom Baskets Bonn in Telekom Dome next Wednesday.

Per the press release: “The Basketball Champions announced on Tuesday that, in view of the current security situation in Israel, it has decided to postpone the two games of the opening week of the Regular Season that involve the two participating clubs from Israel.
