As officially announced through a press release, the Polish region of Lubelskie will remain the Official Partner of the Basketball Champions League for the second straight year after joining first in the 2022-23 season.
“The Basketball Champions League and the Lublin Voivodeship (Lubelskie) jointly announced on Thursday that the Polish region’s status as an Official Partner of the prestigious European club competition has been extended until the end of the current season. Lubelskie had initially been granted Basketball Champions League Official Partner status for Season 7”, the statement opened.
“We are delighted for the extension of our partnership with Lubelskie because it reaffirms the success of the first year of our collaboration, which exceeded expectations”, Basketball Champions League CEO Patrick Comninos commented. “The BCL’s impressive digital growth last season also left an imprint on this exciting partnership and set a high bar for the exposure we expect this year. It is indicative that the BCL’s Social Media reach exceeded 90 million in 2022-23”, he added.
“We expect our partnership to flourish further and explore new avenues in Season 8, but one thing I am particularly proud of is that it complies with one of the pillars of our values: the BCL is a truly pan-European competition with impressive geographical spread across the continent, and our partnership with one of the most dynamic European regions underscores that”, Patrick Comninos finally concluded.
“Under the terms of the partnership, the Lubelskie trademarks will be displayed on on-court signage and around the court LED inventory at all BCL games of the season, up until and including the big Final Four tournament in May. The Polish region will therefore maintain the visibility it gained last season at a minimum of 170 top-level basketball encounters in cities around Europe, which are broadcast on TV channels not only across the continent but also in several countries in Asia and the United States”, the official press release concluded.
