After Turkish Airlines EuroLeague’s official decision to let Maccabi Tel Aviv play its home games in Belgrade due to the ongoing conflict in Israel, the Basketball Champions League opted for the same solution regarding Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem.

“Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem will play their home games for Group G of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season in Belgrade. The Basketball Champions League and the club jointly reached this decision due to the current security situation in Israel, in consultation with all stakeholders and after all guarantees were provided by the Serbian government and the Serbian Basketball Federation”, the European competition stated with an official press release.

The red-and-black Israeli powerhouse will share its new domestic court with Maccabi Tel Aviv. “Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem will play their home games in Belgrade’s Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, behind closed doors. The Jerusalem club will be the nominative host to Galatasaray EKMAS on Wednesday, November 1st”, the statement continued.

“The two next games of Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem in Belgrade are against PAOK mateco on Wednesday, December 13, and against SL Benfica on Wednesday, December 20. The Basketball Champions League wishes to thank all concerned parties and in particular the Serbian Basketball Federation, for its hospitality and assistance”, the Basketball Champions League finally declared.
