After announcing Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem’s home games to be played in the same venue as Maccabi Tel Aviv‘s EuroLeague home games, which is Belgrade’s Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, the Basketball Champions League released an official statement to communicate Hapoel Holon’s home court.
“Hapoel Holon will play their home games for Group F of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season in Athens. The Basketball Champions League and the club jointly reached this decision due to the current security situation in Israel, in consultation with all stakeholders and after all guarantees were provided by the Greek government and the Greek Basketball Federation. Hapoel Holon will play their home games in the Ano Liossia Olympic Hall of Athens, behind closed doors”, the press release said.
Then, the statement continued. “The Israeli team’s first game as the nominal host in the venue which is the regular homecourt of AEK Betsson BC will be against Rio Breogan and is scheduled to tip off on Tuesday, November 14th, at 18:00 CET (19:00 local time). The two next games of Hapoel Holon in the Ano Liossia Olympic Hall will be against Telekom Baskets Bonn and against Bursaspor Info Yatirim, on dates to be confirmed. The Basketball Champions League wishes to thank all concerned parties and in particular the Greek Basketball Federation, for its hospitality and assistance”, it added.
