Unicaja stays perfect after taking down Peristeri

Unicaja looks unstoppable at the moment, notching seventh win in both competitions, third straigth in Basketball Champions League.

Ibon Navarro’s side was in control against Peristeri bwin, finally taking a 81-64 win at home in Malaga.

It was another great team performance, with all 12 players taking the field, and just talented Mario Saint-Supery not making the scoresheet. Only three players finished in double digits, with Yankuba Sima and Nihad Djedovic scoring 11 points each and Melvin Ejim adding 10.

Still, two players finishing with nine points each, were more valuable: Jonathan Barreiro with seven rebounds for PIR of 13 and Kendrick Perry with six assists for the same PIR.

As for the Greek team, who fell to 1-2, Kenny Williams scored 12 points, while Joe Ragland had another all-around game with 10 points, seven rebounds and five assist.

Unicaja had a 26-15 lead after 10 minutes, and improved it to 37-19 midway through the second quarter. The guests had a good period in the final minutes of the second and opening minutes of the third quarter, but the Malaga team again took over and entered the final period with 64-45. Soon, it was pretty clear that Unicaja would remain perfect.

Spanish team sits at the top of the Group A and will face Le Mans (1-2) in fourth round (22/11), while Perister will cross spears with Szombathely on the road (21/11).
