Basketball Champions League Regular Season – Week 5 Preview

A total of five games between five groups will be played this week in the Basketball Champions League with Hapoel Holon playing their first “home game” of the season, relocating to Riga, Latvia, due to the situation in Israel.

Two very interesting games will be played in France, as Dijon hosts Promitheas for Group B and Strasbourg faces Karsiyaka for Group E with all four teams having so far a perfect 2-0 record.

Meanwhile, in Group E the duo of Filou Oostende and EWE Baskets Oldenburg, like Rytas Vilnius and Opava in Group B will fight for their first BCL win of the season.

In Group G all eyes will be on Istanbul as Galatasaray Ekmas after a 0-2 start in the season hosts ambitious Benfica. Dating from last season, the Turkish team has four straight defeats and never in the past had such a streak in the BCL.

On Wednesday for the same group, PAOK mateco hosts the perfect so far Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem.

In Group H, Murcia is hosting Tofas with the two teams tied at 1-1 and the Spanish side having so far won 17 out of 18 home games in their BCL history. Last but not least perfect Bertram Derthona Tortona hosts Igokea m:tel and the Italians are the clear favorites to get their third win of the season.
