Basketball Champions League Regular Season – Week 6 Preview

By Johnny Askounis/ info@eurohoops.net

Lenovo Tenerife’s opportunity to match a Basketball Champions League record for the most consecutive wins at home currently stands out, entering the sixth week of the 2023-24 Regular Season. Action in venues all around Europe and teams nearing the Round of 16 will eventually capitalize on obvious advantages. Gameday 4 launches the bottom end of the six-game round-robin schedule with teams from four of the eight groups suiting up Tuesday and Wednesday.

Nevertheless, the Canary Islands outfit hosting Darussafaka Lassa can lead to tying AS Monaco’s 17 straight home wins between the 2016-17 and 2017-18 installments of FIBA Europe’s top-tier club continental competition. Besides Santiago Martin, the Group C schedule stretches to Latvia with VEF Riga taking on Cholet and hoping to snap a six-game losing streak in the BCL.

Heading to Arena Savaria, Peristeri bwin and head coach Vassilis Spanoulis have lost their last four away games in the Champions League. Hungary champions Falco Vulcano Szombathely hope to add to that streak. Elsewhere in Group A, undefeated Unicaja goes to Antares for a battle with Le Mans.

At 3-0 in Group D, AEK Betsson welcomes King Wilki Morskie Szczecin in the Ano Liosia Olympic Hall. Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari versus MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg shapes the second contest.

In Group F, defending champions Telekom Baskets Bonn are at home opposite hapless Bursaspor Info Yatirim. Also, Rio Breogan hosts Hapoel Holon.
