According to Eurohoops sources, Ben McLemore is moving to Rio Breogan to replace Justin Anderson, who is set to sign with Valencia Basket. The team based in Lugo officially completed the signing on Friday.
The 30-year-old guard debuted in European basketball this season with AEK Bettson but recently parted ways with the Athens team.
He will, therefore, stay in the Basketball Champions League with Breogan, experiencing the ACB League for the first time in his career.
The experienced US guard averaged 9.2 points per game and made 50% of his field goals over five appearances in the BCL, with 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 19.2 minutes per contest. In the Greek Basket League, he logged seven games with 9.7 points and 3.9 rebounds on average.
McLemore was the 7th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings and spent almost a decade in the League, also playing for the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Portland Trail Blazers, notching 556 regular-season appearances with averages of nine points and 2.3 rebounds, shooting 36% from beyond the arc.
