His scoring stint in last year’s Basketball Champions League Play-Ins against PAOK permitted Rytas Vilnius to extend his run in the European competition, heading to the Round of 16 to try to get a spot in the Final Four. Now, Marcus Foster is back.
Ahead of this year’s Play-Ins clash against Peristeri, in fact, the 28-year-old American guard officially made his return to the Lithuanian red-and-black team after leaving it in the summer to play in China with the Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin, where he averaged 13.8 points per game.
The former Panathinaikos and Turk Telekom Ankara player, who graduated from Creighton University back in 2018 to start a pretty successful individual career overseas, put up 20.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game last season in the Basketball Champions League, shooting 55.6% from two and 42-0% from beyond the three-point line.
