Reacting to recent departures, AEK Betsson completed an addition to the roster on Wednesday.

The team announced that Jordan Morgan inked a contract for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

Morgan, 32, is a replacement for Mfiondu Kabengele on the team roster for head coach Joan Plaza. He joined Manos Chatzidakis, Dimitris Flionis, Langston Hall, Zois Karampelas, Giannis Kouzeloglou, Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Jordan McRae, Omiros Netzipoglou, Chasson Randle, Justin Tillman, among others, in the Basketball Champions League and Greece’s Stoiximan Basket League.

Winning Group D of the Champions League’s Regular Season, the Queen moved directly to the Round of 16 and was placed in Group L alongside UCAM Murcia. Two Play-In winners will complete the four-team group and the six-game double-legged round-robin schedule. The continental campaign is set to resume in late January.

The former Michigan standout carries the experience of 30 games played in the BCL, spread between Petrol Olimpija in 2017-18 and Banvit in 2018-19. Further continental experience features the FIBA Europe Cup with Pinar Karsiyaka, besides stints with Umana Reyer Venice, UNICS, and Acea Roma in the EuroCup. At the top of the ongoing 2023-24 campaign, he averaged 6.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 0.6 steals per VTB United League contest as a member of Lokomotiv Kuban.

Apart from the club level, Morgan’s lengthy career in Europe stretched to the senior national team of Slovenia. He played as a naturalized player in the Qualifiers of the 2022 EuroBasket and 2023 FIBA World Cup.
