George Papas’ tenure with Olympiacos ends after a year and a half as the 25-year-old guard joins Promitheas Patras.
Therefore, the Greek-American will continue playing in the Stoixman Basket League but will move his talents from the EuroLeague to the Basketball Champions League, where Promitheas awaits the Round of 16 to commence.
Papas joined Olympiacos in 2022 after spending five years playing college basketball for Monmouth and not being selected in the 2022 NBA draft.
Even though he had a minor role, Papas won a Greek championship, Cup, and two Super Cups during his stay in Piraeus.
He will now join Ilias Papatheodorou’s team, currently third in the Greek Basket League standings, and a member of Group L in the BCL’s Round of 16 alongside AEK Bettson, UCAM Murcia, and Hapoel Holon.
