After last week’s thrilling outcomes with only one group with an unbeaten duo on top, the Basketball Champions League is already in the third week of its Round of 16 phase, with other eight games – equally divided between February 6th and 7th – to mark on your calendar.
After ending up victorious in the first two weeks of this year’s BCL Round of 16, one between Hapoel Jerusalem and Lenovo Tenerife will see its winning streak collapse as they go up against each other in Group K, one hour and a half after the winless clash between Peristeri and Pinar Karsiyaka.
A different preview puts UCAM Murcia up against AEK, wondering if the Greek powerhouse could break the Spanish team’s seven-game winning streak in the BCL. Hapoel Holon and Promitheas will square off in the battle for second place – if Sito Alonso’s team keeps rolling – in Group L.
The same fate will see Unicaja taking the road trip to Strasbourg in another unbeaten-winless clash so far, with Phil Booth and Kendrick Perry colliding on the backcourt. It will also be interesting to catch up with the action in Bursa, where Tofas hosts Cholet: they both advanced through Play-Ins.
Finally, after last week’s German derby, Telekom Baskets Bonn looks forward to extending its unbeaten run in the Basketball Champions League Round of 16, and it’s eager to do so on the road in Dijon, where David Holston and teammates are still excited about last week’s crazy 25-point comeback. Galatasaray, instead, opens up a new chapter with Yakup Sekizkok in charge by traveling to Ludwigsburg.
