Traveling to Belgrade with five wins in a row across the Basketball Champions League and Spain’s Liga Endesa, Lenovo Tenerife’s winning streak came to an abrupt end.

Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem marched to an 85-61 victory behind closed doors in Aleksandar Nikolic Hall on Wednesday.

After a narrow win in the Semifinals of the 2023 Final Four, the lopsided display in Gameday 3 of the Round of 16 sent the team guided by Ilias Kantzouris to 3-0 in Group K.

Hunting the 1,000-point mark, Levi Randolph ended up with 21 points, seven shy of the milestone. Brynton Lemar added 17 points, including a game-high four triples. Chris Johnson followed with 14 points. Noam Dovrat (knee surgery) stayed on the injury list.

Issued a second technical foul with 2:06 left in the third quarter, Txus Vidorreta was ejected with his side well on route to falling to 2-1. Kyle Guy packing 29 points was not enough with team defense faltering in Serbia. Finnish Sasu Salin and Serbian Dusan Ristic sat out along with injured Jaime Fernandez and Fran Guerra.

Postgame press conference

The team located in the Canary Islands sits at 12-9 in the domestic league. It visits Casademont Zaragoza in Round 22 of the ACB Regular Season on Saturday before diving into the Copa del Rey in Malaga.

The Jerusalem outfit had an eight-game winning streak across all competitions snapped against Ironi Kiryat Lati Ata in Remez and dropped to 7-4 in Israel’s Ligat Winner on Sunday.
