Nimrod Levi is back for Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem.
The 28-year-old forward inked a contract until the end of the 2026-27 season, the team announced on Saturday.
“I’m happy to return to Israel and to Hapoel, a club whose ambitions and goals are as high as possible, and that’s exactly where I aim to get with the team,” mentioned Levi, “It excites me to return to the club and the fans who received me so well in the previous term. I want to thank my agent Avi Zilberman and thank the club for the trust. I am happy that this time the conditions are ripe for a connection for years to come. Yalla Hapoel!”.
Resurfacing in the Basketball Champions League, Levi carries the experience of 26 appearances, including 13 in the 2019-20 edition of FIBA Europe’s top-tier club continental competition during his first stint with the team based in Jerusalem.
“One of our main goals at Hapoel Jerusalem is to sign the best Israelis, and there is no doubt that Nimrod is an excellent example of this,” noted head coach Ilias Kantzouris, “He is at his peak mentally and in terms of ability and I am sure he will be able to help us achieve our goals both in the short term and in the long term.”
So far in the 2023-24 campaign, Levi tallied 12.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per contest in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi for Reeder Samsunspor.
