UCAM Murcia and Dylan Ennis are staying together through the 2024-25 season.

Ennis, 32, inked a contract extension, the team announced Thursday evening. In earlier similar moves, Rodions Kurucs and Howard Sant-Roos, and head coach Sito Alonso signed new contracts stretching until the end of the next season.

“No place I rather be next year than here in Murcia! From the coaches, to the fans, to my teammates, to the city. There is nothing I don’t love about being here,” Ennis reacted via a post shared on X.

Joining the Universitarios in June, the Canadian combo guard launched his eighth consecutive campaign in Europe and resurfaced for a fourth run in the Basketball Champions League. Tallying 11.2 points, 4.2 assists, 1.2 rebounds, 0.8 steals, and 0.1 blocks per contest, he helped his side reach the Round of 16 and currently sit at 3-1 in Group L, in a favorable position toward a berth in the Quarterfinals. Combined with stints at Galatasaray Nef and Casademont Zaragoza, he is up to 51 appearances in the BCL.

A veteran of 153 appearances in Spain’s Liga Endesa, the native of Toronto is averaging 15.3 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per contest over 23 games played in the 2023-24 edition of the strongest domestic league in Europe. Behind a 14-9 W-L tally, the team guided by Alonso ranks fifth in the ACB standings, carrying a two-game advantage into the final sprint for a spot in the Playoffs.
