Basketball Champions League Quarterfinals Game 2 Preview

Shifting to Gameday 2 of the Basketball Champions League Quarterfinals, last week’s visitors become hosts and vice versa. Another common factor from Gameday 1 is all four teams with homecourt advantage up to 1-0 in the best-of-three series. Intriguing storylines focused on clinching a berth in the Final Four or extending the continental campaign to a deciding Game 3.

Former champion and Final Four MVP, Marcelinho Huertas has been around for a while. However, banking in at least 30 points in back-to-back Champions League games was a first as Lenovo Tenerife outlasted Tofas in Game 1. More of the same would likely push the Canary Islands outfit to the Final Four on Wednesday.

Head coach Vassilis Spanoulis and Peristeri bwin are trailing defending champions Telekom Baskets Bonn, heading to Game 2 in Peristeri Arena. Arguably the most balanced matchup of the Quarterfinals projects exciting stuff in Greece on Wednesday.

Promitheas welcomes Unicaja in Patras on Tuesday. Considering the second half of Game 1, the team coached by Ilias Papatheodorou would like another chance in Malaga. Winning Game 2 is a necessary initial step.

Another Game 2 is set in MHP Arena with hosting MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg determined to make adjustments and bounce back from a lopsided loss to UCAM Murcia in Game 1.
