After extending the contract of Lars Thiemann, Telekom Baskets Bonn picked up a new player heading to the 2024-25 season. Incoming from MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, Jonathan Bahre signed a two-year contract, the team announced on Friday.

The 27-year-old German forward/center carries the experience of 36 games played in the Basketball Champions League, including 12.5 points per game in two meetings versus his future team in the Round of 16 of the 2023-24 season. Both German clubs advanced from Group J to the Quarterfinals, before being eliminated by Peristeri bwin and UCAM Murcia.

Improving across the board last season, Bahre recorded 5.1 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest over 14 appearances in the eighth installment of the BCL. In Germany’s domestic competitions, he produced 6.4 points per game. Before landing in Ludwigsburg and launching his professional career in 2021, he developed his talents playing at Clemson and UNC Asheville in the NCAA.

Projected to compete in the Qualification Rounds for a spot in the 2024-25 Regular Season of the Champions League, Cholet added two more players for new head coach Fabrice LeFrancois. Bastien Vautier inked a two-year contract and Stef Smith signed a one-year contract. The 25-year-old French guard and the 24-year-old Canadian-Jamaican guard will debut in the BCL.

From captain of Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro, Matteo Tambone signed a two-year contract with Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari. The 30-year-old Italian point guard, a defensive specialist, is a newcomer to the Champions League.
