Kyle Guy opted out of his contract with Lenovo Tenerife

Moving to Lenovo Tenerife after parting ways with Panathinaikos during the 2023-24 proved to be the right move for Kyle Guy, who emerged as one of the most exciting players to watch in Europe.

Bringing the black-and-yellow side only one win away from its third Basketball Champions League title, he broke the all-time record for most points scored in a BCL Final Four, putting up 34 points to take down Peristeri in the Semi-Finals.

However, as his agent Misko Raznatovic revealed, he’s opting out of his contract with Tenerife. After such an end to the season, it’s understandable he could have got interest back from the EuroLeague, or even to the NBA, where the Virginia Cavaliers product already played with the Miami Heat in the past.

After losing to Unicaja Malaga in the final played in the Belgrade Arena earlier this year, he had praising words for the Canarian organization. “I’m very grateful to be a part of this team, a lot of great guys, and a great organization. They saved my love for basketball this year, I owe everything we’ve been able to accomplish to them right now”, he stated.

Melvin Ejim will keep playing for Unicaja

While addressing Kyle Guy’s near future, Misko Raznatovic also shared news regarding another one of his clients, as Melvin Ejim agreed with Unicaja Malaga to extend for one more year.

Winning the Basketball Champions League title with the green-and-purple Spanish side, the Canadian forward completed one of the most successful seasons of his career, starting in September with the bronze medal grabbed with his national team in Manila.

The 33-year-old forward has been playing with Malaga since 2022, but he previously had a one-season experience with Unicaja in the 2019-20 season as well. Under head coach Ibon Navarro, he also won the 2023 Copa del Rey in Malaga.
