After one season away from European competitions, Pallacanestro Reggiana will come back participating in the Basketball Champions League and will have on board Dimitris Priftis once again.
The Greek mastermind extended his contract with the red-and-white team until 2026 after dragging the team to the Italian Playoffs Quarter-Finals, where they lost to Reyer Venice. Reggio Emilia also reached the Italian Cup Semi-Finals after eliminating Virtus Bologna in the first game of the tournament.
The red-and-white side will be joined by Derthona Basket in the Regular Season of the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League campaign as Italian teams directly qualified. Banco di Sardegna Dinamo Sassari, instead, will have to go through the Qualification Rounds.
Remaining in Greece until 2017 between head coaching and assistant duties, while also taking part in the Greek national team’s coaching staff as well, he then moved to UNICS Kazan, where he stayed until 2021. In the 2021-22 season, he was hired by Panathinaikos before joining Tofas Bursa. Since the summer of 2023, he has been coaching Langston Galloway and teammates.
