Four years after being selected with the 39th pick of the 2020 NBA draft, 26-year-old Elijah Hughes will play in the Basketball Champions League with Promitheas. After 54 appearances in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz, and spending the last two years in the G League with the Wisconsin Herd, the Syracuse product inked a one-year contract with the Greek club. Heading to matchups with Galatasaray, Rasta Vechta, and a Qualifiers winner in Group D of the BCL Regular Season, Promitheas previously added Darius Perry and retained Antonis Koniaris.

A former Utah standout, 30-year-old Dakarai Tucker joined Hapoel Netanel Holon for the next season and will also debut in the Champions League. The Israeli club started the offseason by reuniting with head coach Guy Goodes, went on re-signing captain Niv Misgav, and also picked up 28-year-old guard Yiftach Ziv. Drawn into Group A of the Regular Season, Igokea m:tel, Nanterre 92, and Wurzburg Baskets are the teams to beat in the race to the Round of 16.

On the way to the Qualification Rounds, ERA Nymburk signed 25-year-old Christian Bishop for the next season and announced a three-year contract extension for 32-year-old Jaromir Bohacik, a veteran of 69 games played in the BCL between SIG Strasbourg, Brose Bamberg, and the previous spell with his current team. Earlier in the offseason, Czechia’s NBL champions reunited with Matej Svoboda after seven years.

Meanwhile, Falco Szombathely extended the contract of 22-year-old Dez Tanoh for two more years and loaned him to LEB Oro’s Hestia Menorca for the next season.
