Reinforcing Pinar Karsiyaka in the Basketball Champions League, James Webb III is the latest addition to the Turkish team.
Being only one victory away from the EuroLeague Final Four with Maccabi Tel Aviv, he will now leave the EuroLeague after putting up 6.2 points and 3.2 rebounds over 54.2% from the field per game coming off the bench.
This won’t be the first time James Webb III has played in the Basketball Champions League, as he already spent time in the competition during the 2018-19 season with Telekom Baskets Bonn, averaging 8.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game over 14 appearances.
That was his first overseas experience after trying his chances in the NBA and in the G-League with Brooklyn, Delaware 87ers, and Long Island Nets; from then on, he also played with the Iowa Wolves, Larisa, UCAM Murcia, Valencia, and finally Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The American small forward is the third foreign newcomer on the green-and-red side after Daron Russell and Jerry Boutsiele. Errick McCollum’s future is still unclear, while Vitto Brown said goodbye to the Turkish team to sign with AS Monaco.
