Killian Tillie is very close to returning to the Old Continent, as the French forward is set to join Unicaja Malaga to play in both ACB and Basketball Champions League in the 2024-25 season.

According to La Opinion de Malaga, the 26-year-old power forward is already in the Spanish city to undergo medical checks before signing his new contract with Ibon Navarro’s team, which came out on top in the 2024 BCL Final Four.

While he never played in any major domestic European league, neither in the EuroLeague, EuroCup, or Basketball Champions League, he averaged 3.2 points per game during his two-year NBA tenure with the Grizzlies.

After debuting professionally with INSEP Paris in the 2014-15 season, he moved to the Gonzaga Bulldogs from 2016 to 2020. Going undrafted, he then signed a two-way contract with Memphis, where he stayed until the beginning of the 2022-23 season.

Internationally, he won the gold medal at the 2014 EuroBasket U16 with the French national team, being named MVP after a campaign where he almost averaged a double-double with 14.3 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. He couldn’t repeat himself at the 2017 U19 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
