Alongside Anthony Cowan, he was forming one of the deadliest backcourt duos in the whole Basketball Champions League scene during the 2023-24 campaign with Promitheas, despite not managing to reach the Final Four.
Watching him closely in Greek League action, AEK decided to bet on the 26-year-old combo guard for the upcoming season in both competitions after he averaged 17.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game in last year’s Basketball Champions League.
Going up against AEK in domestic league action, he had a monster night of 32 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists in the win by Promitheas back in December. He followed with another win, this time scoring 21 points, against the black-and-yellow team in March.

New big man for the Spaniards
If Hunter Hale already has Basketball Champions League experience, Chuba Ohams is gonna get that pretty soon as he signed with the competition’s 2021-22 runner-up BAXI Manresa.
Same age as the American guard but a different role for the big man with Nigerian roots, who played with the Helsinki Seagulls in the 2023-24 season, putting up 15.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game in the Finnish top division.
Before coming over to Europe by signing with Denain the previous year in France, he established himself under the rim in the NCAA for six consecutive campaigns with the Fordham Rams.
