Returning to the Basketball Champions League, Jeremy Senglin moves to Poland and Slask Wroclaw

In a late addition for Slask Wroclaw, 29-year-old Jeremy Senglin inked a one-year contract to boost the continental bid in the Basketball Champions League. Using overseas options for the majority of his career, the Weber State product already logged 20 BCL appearances between Nanterre 92 and Happy Casa Brindisi. The next assignment generates teammates in Mikolaj Adamczak, Kenan Blackshear, Adrian Bogucki, Daniel Golebiowski, Oskar Hlebowicki, Blazej Kulikowski, Henri-Soprano Mboungolo-Mounanga, Angel Nunez, Ajdin Penava, and Marcel Ponitka, Isaiah Whitehead, and Aleksander Wisniewski, under the guidance of head coach Miodrag Rajkovic.

Fellow Champions League participant, Karsiyaka reunited with 21-year-old Ozan Yilmaz, besides officially re-signing captain Kenan Sipahi and 24-year-old Ergi Tirpanci for the next season. Sipahi is a veteran of 69 BCL games and Tirpanci has been featured in three contests. Thomas Akyazili, Jerry Boutsiele, Mert Celep, Damien Jefferson, Errick McCollum, Sean McDermott, Fatts Russell, Hakan Sayili, James Webb III, and Muhsin Yasar are also in the squad for head coach Ufuk Sarica.

Gameday 1 of the Regular Season will tip off the new season in the first week of October, following the Qualification Rounds in Antalya. The Polish club is in Group F alongside Rytas, Falco Szombathely, and UnaHotels Reggio Emilia. In Group C, the Izmir outfit faces La Laguna Tenerife, Saint-Quentin, and Kolossos H Hotels.

Qualifiers moves

Among the strongest teams in the Qualification Rounds, MoraBanc Andorra penned 20-year-old Aaron Ganal to a two-year contract to complete the roster. Ferran Bassas, Nikos Chougkaz, Felipe Dos Anjos, Sekou Doumbouya, Shannon Evans II, Jerrick Harding, Kyle Kuric, Ben Lammers, Nacho Llovet, Rafa Luz, Stan Okoye, and Chumi Ortega previously entered the team coached by Natxo Lezkano. Also, 22-year-old Sergi Serrato was loaned to CB Santfeliuenc.

After placing Pierre Hampton on the injury list, the Norrkoping Dolphins signed Morgan State product Phil Carr for the Qualifiers. The 28-year-old forward previously played for the Dolphins during the 2020-21 season. The team coached by Mikko Riipinen additionally consists of Keenon Cole, Nathan Dawit, Joakim Dumon, Sebastian Forsling, Devonte Green, Shane Hunter, Tim Jonsson, Daniel Love, Tim Schuberg, and Marcus Tyus.

Elsewhere, Benfica confirmed 33-year-old Jose Barbosa for a fourth consecutive season. The experienced guard carries a tally of 16 BCL games with the Eagles. Makrem Ben Romdhane, Betinho Gomes, Aaron Broussard, Nico Carvacho, Trey Drechsel, Eduardo Francisco, Diogo Gameiro, Ahmaad Rorie, Daniel Relvao, Jose Silva, and Tyler Stone are the remaining players for head coach Norberto Alves.
