Borisa Simanić returns to court with Igokea

Borisa Simanić is back!

After sustaining a serious injury at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, which sidelined him for the entire season, the Serbian player has signed a contract with Igokea m:tel and is set to compete in the Basketball Champions League.

During the World Cup last summer, where he represent silver-medalist Serbia, Simanić was struck in a game and subsequently underwent surgery to have a kidney removed.

More than a year later, he makes his return to the court with Igokea, signing a deal with the team from Laktaši after playing a friendly match against Borac Banja Luka, where he scored eight points.

Simanić has previously played for Zaragoza, Mega MIS, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, and FMP Soccerbet. He has also won three ABA League championships with Crvena zvezda, in 2016, 2017, and 2019.
