Promitheas Patras adds Jordon Varnado

Before the start of the season in the Greek League and the Basketball Champions League, Promitheas Patras announced another signing with 27-year-old Jordon Varnado.

The American player comes to Greece from two excellent seasons in the Italian Legabasket, namely with the jersey of Pistoia.

Varnado’s numbers speak for themselves, as in 2023 he averaged 17 points, while in 2024 he closed the season with an average of 14.0 points.

KAE Promitheas Patras is pleased to announce the start of cooperation with the athlete Jordon Varnado, who is coming to Patras to strengthen our team’s efforts for the upcoming season.

Jordon Varnado was born on May 12, 1997, in the United States. He is 2.02 m tall and plays in position “4”. He began his career in the 2015-16 season with the Troy Trojans and the NCAA, where he remained for a four-year stretch through the 2018-19 season.

His first season in Europe was in 2019-20 with Hungarian club Körmend, while he then played for Polish club Gliwice.

For the last two years, Varnado has been competing in the Italian Legabasket with Pistoia, with very high numbers and performances. The American forward averaged 17 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in the 2022-23 season, while last year he had 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists, with 40% shooting from beyond the arc.
