Wurzburg takes down Hapoel Holon with Seljaas leading the way

FIT/One Würzburg Baskets started the 2024/25 Basketball Champions League campaign on the right foot.

The German side defeated Hapoel Netanel Holon 85-76, with Zac Seljaas having a standout game for the hosts.

The U.S. forward finished the match with 23 points and five rebounds for a game-high PIR of 25. Mike Davis Jr., with 20 points, and Jhivvan Jackson, with 18 points, followed him.

On the other side, Marcus Bingham Jr. stood out with 19 points, while Elijah Mitrou-Long and Yiftah Ziv added 12 points each. Jalen Adams, Michael Kyser, and Dakarai Tucker also finished in double figures with 10 points apiece.

“We have to keep fighting”

Captain and the standout player of Saso Filipovski’s side, Zac Seljaas, shared his toughts on the match:

Good start, we have to learn a lot from it and to keep growing. It’s really early, we have to go with the punches, keep fighting and see where it takes us“, Seljaas said.
