The first week of the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League Regular Season made the audience aware of the talent level in the competition, with several huge individual performances: the best five of those belonged to as many different protagonists, starting from an unusual one.

In his Basketball Champions League debut, Saben Lee helped Manisa knock out last year’s bronze medalist UCAM Murcia, on the road in Spain: his 36 points were the highest-scoring performance between Tuesday and Wednesday, and he’s the clear favorite to grab MVP of the Round.

Another debutant like Nolan Traore, who was born in 2006 but he’s already in everyone’s mind thinking of next year’s NBA Draft, shone this week in the BCL. Dragging Saint-Quentin to a huge 30-point win over Kolossos Rhodes, he showed his leadership capacities from the very beginning.

If we’re talking about leaders, we can’t rule out Dairis Bertans and Zoltan Perl, who are both becoming usual habits in the competition respectively for VEF Riga and Falco Szombathely. They both had great contributions to their teams in beating Telekom Baskets Bonn and WKS Slask Wroclaw.

Finally, Dylan Osetkowski proved once again why he can’t be ruled out when the conversation swings around potential names for MVP of the Season. He had a great showing in reigning champs Unicaja‘s away win over Filou Oostende, putting up 24 points and 7 rebounds.
