Roster adjustments for Basketball Champions League participants Promitheas and Filou Oostende.
Following a Gameday 1 loss to ERA Nymburk on Wednesday, the Patras outfit officially welcomed 25-year-old American point guard Jordan Walker on Thursday. Parting ways with Antonis Koniaris, looking to secure the services of another playmaker added the native of Long Island to the team coached by Ilias Papatheodorou.
After spells in the G League, Puerto Rico, and China, Walker joined forces with Josh Adams, Thanasis Bazinas, Linos Chrysikopoulos, Javin DeLaurier, Wes Iwundu, Antonis Karagiannidis, Angelos Lagios, Michalis Lountzis, Minas Papagiannis, Darius Perry, Grigoris Prekas, Jordon Varnado, Kenny Williams, and KJ Williams.
At 0-1 in Group D of the Champions League Regular Season, Promitheas hopes to bounce back against Rasta Vechta in Rasta Dome next Wednesday.
Devontae Shuler joins Oostende
Before Gameday 1 of the Regular Season, Oostende announced the addition of Devontae Shuler on Tuesday. The 26-year-old American shooting guard, an Ole Miss product, spent the first three years of his professional career in the G League.
Dealing with several injuries early in the new season, the champions of Belgium fell to 0-1 in Group B of the BCL Regular Season after losing to defending BCL champion Unicaja in COREtec Dome on Tuesday. Visiting Aliaga Petkimspor is the second challenge next Wednesday.
Besides Shuler, the roster consists of Timmy Allen, Chase Audige, Haris Bratanovic, Servaas Buysschaert, Simon Buysse, Pierre-Antoine Gillet, Noah Meeusen, Joppe Mennes, Davion Mintz, Matthias Tass, Matteo Verstraete, and Marcus Zegarowski.
