The Czech team, ERA Nymburk, made it to the Basketball Champions League Regular Season through Qualification, and after two rounds, they have two road wins.

After taking down Promitheas Patras, Nymburk defeated Galatasaray in Turkey 75-87 for a perfect start to the 2024/25 BCL Regular Season.

Nymburk opened the game on a high note, winning the first quarter 13-23, and even leading 24-43 in the second period before Galatasaray woke up. After the break, the Czech side regained control and held a comfortable lead until the final minutes, when the hosts managed to trim it to 75-80. However, that was all from Galatasaray, as Nymburk preserved their lead and won comfortably in the end.

Christian Bishop led the winning side with 15 points and nine rebounds for a PIR of 20. Jaromir Bohacik followed with 13 points, Stephen Brown added 12, and Martin Kriz contributed 10 points.

James Palmer stood out for Galatasaray with 19 points, Otis Livingston and Will Cummings followed with 12 points each, while Roberts Blumbergs and Ebuka Izundu added 10 points apiece.

“The beginning was very important”

Nymburk’s Jaromír Bohačík briefly shared his impressions after the game.

The beginning of the game was very important for us, when we really emphasized what the coach has been wanting us to do for the last year and a half. It was important to enter the game in a good way,” Bohačík said.
