Unicaja Malaga doesn’t stop rolling and enters the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League Regular Season with two back-to-back victories. After winning against Oostende in Belgium, Ibon Navarro’s team got the 83-60 win over Polish underdog King Szczecin.
The team’s leader and point guard Kendrick Perry had 12 points off the bench in the Martin Carpena Arena tonight. He wasn’t his team’s highest scorer, as Jonathan Barreiro put up 14 points. David Kravish had the same amount for the Spanish side.
On the losing end, Tony Meier tried his best by scoring 15 points over 5/9 from the three-point arc, but he wasn’t enough. Teyvon Myers controlled the team’s tempo with 13 points and 7 assists off the bench.
Both Unicaja Malaga and Aliaga Petkimspor are now at the top in Group B, as both teams won their respective games over King Szczecin and Filou Oostende. For the Turkish team, Breein Tyree erupted for 33 points earlier in the evening.
