Bertram Derthona means business!
After taking down NINERS Chemnitz in the opening round, Walter De Raffaele’s side dominated BAXI Manresa at home, winning 102-85 to top Group G of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season.
Christian Vital led Bertram Derthona with 28 points, while Arturs Strautins followed with 22. Justin Gorham added 16 points with six rebounds, while Ismael Kamagate was a rebound shy of a double-double with 14 points.
On the other side, Retin Obasohan led the way for Manresa with 18 points, while Santiago Vescovi and Emanuel Cate contributed 12 points each.
“The way we showed up is unacceptable”
BAXI Manresa’s Retin Obasohan expressed disappointment after the defeat against Bertram Derthona.
“The way we want to compete on both sides is something we didn’t do for 40 minutes. Tortona came out strong in the first 20; they played well for all 40, but we didn’t show up. This is an opportunity to learn from, to watch film, to see how to be better, compete for 40 minutes, and improve,” said Obasohan.
