Escaping only at the very end of a back-and-forth encounter, Falco Vulcano beat Pallacanestro Reggiana 78-71 in front of its fans.

The team’s captain Zoltan Perl had yet again another good performance for the black-and-yellow Hungarian powerhouse, contributing to the win with 20 points and 4 assists. He even made some decisive shots down the line, keeping Reggiana away at a safe distance.

Elsewhere on Falco Vulcano’s roster, the American center Marvin Clark went close to dropping a double-double with 9 points and 12 rebounds but struggled shooting from the field (3/8).

2005-born and one of the most interesting talents of the whole Basketball Champions League Momo Faye wasn’t enough for the red-and-white Italian team, as he had a team-high losing effort of 14 points and 7 rebounds. He even did it coming off the bench.

Among starters, Cassius Winston is starting to feel confident in Reggiana’s control room. Today, he had 11 points and 5 assists, but also 3 turnovers; off the bench, Jamar Smith provided scoring experience with 13 points.

Following this week’s and Round 1 results, the Hungarians are now standing on top of Group F with a 2-0 record. Reggiana, instead, stays behind at 1-1.
