Basketball Champions League has always been a league full of experience. This week’s action is another proof of it since tons of veteran players stepped up for their respective teams.
Errick McCollum, for example, dropped 21 points and 6 assists against future NBA prospect Nolan Traore to keep pushing Pinar Karsiyaka, which looks strong on paper. In the same group, the Shermadini-Fitipaldo duo was huge in helping Tenerife keep Kolossos at 47 points scored.
Moving to Group F, both Zoltan Perl and Gytis Radzevicius lived a great Wednesday night, respectively dragging Falco-Vulcano and Rytas Vilnius in Hungary and Lithuania; Reggiana and Slask Wroclaw came out on the losing side.
Elsewhere in Europe, Maccabi Ramat Gan and NINERS Chemnitz found their first-ever victories in the competition, against VEF Riga in Group E and SL Benfica in Group G.
Finally, two players you should keep your eyes on also shone this week. Darius McGhee displayed a Steph Curry kind of performance, putting in buckets from infinite range to help Telekom Baskets Bonn get over AEK. Christian Vital was also huge against Manresa, as Derthona is still unbeaten at 2-0.
