Leading up to the most valuable player of the third week of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, the Team of the Week emerged on Thursday, following exciting action spread across Europe on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Zoltan Perl of Falco-Vulcano Szombathely stood out in Week 1 and Zac Seljaas of FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets took the MVP honors in Week 2.
Perl, 29, returned to the Team of the Week. The Szombathely native, playing for his hometown team, piled up 20 points, four rebounds, one block, and one assist, powering a home win against UnaHotels Reggio Emilia on Wednesday.
Christian Vital was also placed in the Team of the Week. The 27-year-old guard sent Bertram Derthona Tortona to a home win over BAXI Manresa and a 2-0 start in Group G with 28 points behind 10/15 field goals, including five triples on Tuesday.
Another Team of the Week member, Errick McCollum, was in action with Karsiyaka on Tuesday. The 36-year-old combo guard went for 21 points, six assists, three rebounds, and one block in a home win against promising upstart Saint-Quentin and Nolan Traore.
On Wednesday, Rytas bounced back by routing WKS Slask Wroclaw. 29-year-old Gytis Radzevicius finished with 23 points and nine rebounds to earn a spot on the Team of the Week.
Thomas Kennedy of Telekom Baskets Bonn also entered the Team of the Week. His 16 points, eight rebounds, and four assists fueled a home win over AEK Betsson on Tuesday.
