Playing against a team with no win so far in the group, Pallacanestro Reggiana played with fire, but in the end, got the right result.

The final score was 73-65 on the road against Slask Wroclaw as the Italians have now a 2-1 record in Group F of the Basketball Champions League, while the Polish team remains at 0-3.

Cassius Winston with 16 points and Jamar Smith with 13 were the top scorers of the winning side. Stephane Gombauld added 12 points.

For the home team, Daniel Golebiowski and Angel Nunez had 13 points each.

A fourth quarter to remember

For three quarters the game was totally balanced. The score was tied at 17 after the first period, the hosts led by one (35-34) after a three from the center by Nunez at halftime and the two teams entered the last quarter with the Italians up by two (53-51).

However, Reggiana started the fourth period with a 12-6 run and built a 65-57 advantage which proved to be enough.

Slask made it a four-point game (67-63) only for veteran Jamar Smith to score a big three and finish the game.
